Samantha Fuchs

Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern

Samantha Fuchs is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and she has experience working with families, couples, teens, children, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is also Gottman Level 1 certified. Samantha received her Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in the same program as well. Samantha has always had a passion for engaging with people and an interest in the human interaction, so deciding to become a psychotherapist was a natural decision. In her practice, Samantha approaches clients through a systemic lens. She does not just look at an individual, but looks at their entire network and how it is all contributing to the clients' inability to start living the life they are looking for. One of Samantha's main goals is to create a space filled with safety and comfort in order for her clients to feel like they can share and heal with no judgement.

What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?

When working with me, it is important that I create a space for my client to feel safe exploring their emotions, processing their experiences, and most importantly, feeling completely supported throughout their journey with me.

Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?

I am a space of safety and non judgement so clients can express themselves freely and as comfortable as possible.

What drives your passion for seeing clients?

Being a client in therapy has opened up my life so much and as given me the tools to connect to my true self. I know how incredible it feels to feel like life isn't just passing by, and I want to help guide others to feel that power as well.

How do you believe clients "get better"?

I believe clients "get better" by gaining insight and tools to help them live the life they want to be living.
