Shelby Miller
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Shelby has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in home, clinic and daycare settings since 2017. She graduated from the University of Portland in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Neuroscience. She completed her Master’s Degree in Professional Behavior Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology in 2021. During her time in ABA, she has gained extensive experience increasing communication through vocal language, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Sign Language, and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. She always tries to ensure the best care possible by advocating for her clients and prioritizing their personal goals. She is very passionate about providing early intervention to young learners and loves celebrating progress alongside clients and their families. Shelby recently moved to the area from Seattle, WA and has been enjoying exploring the beaches, parks, and restaurants of Miami.

It is important that my clients feels heard and seen while working with me. I strive to model respect and care for my clients at all times.
Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?
I believe that I am a resource for my clients to use in their journey to reach their goals. In collaborating with my clients and their families, we can work together to establish their values and goals for therapy.
What drives your passion for seeing clients?
My passion in the field of ABA lies in the "little victories" that my clients achieve. Seeing their progress towards their goals is extremely rewarding.
How do you believe clients "get better"?
I believe that clients "get better" with the love and support of those surrounding them.
