What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?

It is important to me that my clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. I strive to create a space where they can be their authentic selves while feeling supported in exploring new perspectives and making meaningful progress.

Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?

I believe I am a supportive guide and collaborator for my clients as they navigate their challenges. I walk alongside them, offering compassion, perspective, and tools to help them build resilience and create meaningful change in their lives.

What drives your passion for seeing clients?

I’m driven by a deep desire to support those who have traditionally been overlooked or underserved in receiving care. I believe everyone deserves access to a safe, affirming space where they can heal and grow.

How do you believe clients "get better"?

I believe clients get better when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen, within a therapeutic relationship that encourages both trust and growth. Healing happens through a balance of compassion and challenge, where clients can explore, reflect, and build the tools they need for lasting change.

"Culturally competent counselors are those who are actively in the process of becoming aware of their own assumptions about human behavior, actively attempting to understand the worldview of their culturally diverse clients, and actively developing appropriate intervention strategies and techniques."
