Ana Gamboa

Registered Behavior Technician & Lead Clinical Assistant

Ana is our Lead Clinical Assistant and a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician at MIS Therapy. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis, Ana brings both expertise and heart to her work with children.

From an early age, Ana knew she wanted to dedicate her career to helping others. Her passion for making a meaningful impact led her to the field of ABA and Mental Health, where she found her true calling—empowering children to grow, learn, and thrive.

Ana understands that every child is unique, which is why she tailors her approach to fit each child's individual needs, interests, and strengths. She believes that learning should be an engaging and joyful experience, and she goes above and beyond to ensure her sessions are both fun and impactful. With patience, creativity, and a deep commitment to each child’s progress, Ana turns challenges into opportunities for growth, helping children build confidence and essential life skills along the way.

Parents love Ana not only for her expertise but for the warmth, energy, and dedication she brings to every session. She’s not just a therapist—she’s a cheerleader, a motivator, and a trusted guide in each child’s journey toward success.

What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?

It is important that my clients feel safe and comfortable when working with me. I believe it is important for the client to feel like they are having a good time while also learning, and feel encouraged and supported.

Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?

I believe I play a supportive role in my client's lives, not only as the person providing them with the strategies and behaviors to overcome their struggles, but also as someone who encourages them and supports them even as they might encounter some bumps in the way.

What drives your passion for seeing clients?

Seeing clients develop the necessary skills to adapt to new environments, people, and issues they might encounter drives my passion for seeing them. Helping them achieve goals no matter how small or big they might be definitely encourages me to continue doing my job.

How do you believe clients "get better"?

I believe clients improve by receiving consistent support, independently of how linear or not their progress might be. Encouraging them to continue putting their effort and recognizing every little achievement, and demonstrating our continuous support even during the times progress seems slower or stagnant is key.

“Every person on this earth is full of great possibilities that can be realized through imagination, effort, and perseverance.” –Scott Barry Kaufmann
