Dr. Daisy Monterroso
Owner & Clinical Director
Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
Dr. Daisy Monterroso is a dynamic leader who seamlessly integrates intellectual depth with intuitive insight. As both a pragmatic business owner and an empathetic therapist, she excels in creating innovative, out-of-the-box solutions while valuing structure and tradition where they serve a meaningful purpose. Driven by a passion for impact, she takes on leadership roles not for power, but to create lasting change in people’s lives.
Dr. Monterroso found her first love, behavior analysis, at the University of Florida, where she specialized in working with children with behavioral concerns. Recognizing that behavior is deeply interconnected with emotional and systemic factors, she pursued her Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities underlying behavioral challenges. Her work with families in South Florida further fueled her desire to broaden her perspective, leading her to complete a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. This holistic approach allowed her to better understand the intricate dynamics within a person’s home and support families more effectively.
With this foundation, Monterroso Integrative Services (MIS) Therapy was born—a collaborative clinic utilizing an integrative approach to support individuals and families. Known for her ability to make others feel both safe and challenged—safe in her deep understanding and challenged in their growth—Dr. Monterroso is a visionary in the fields of mental health, behavior analysis, and leadership. Her unique blend of wisdom, authenticity, and creative problem-solving continues to shape the way therapy is practiced and delivered.

What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?
For me, I feel it's important for my clients to feel seen and heard. I work to empower them toward the success that is already within them.
Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?
I feel my role as a therapist is to support and help identify patterns and influences in people's lives.
What drives your passion for seeing clients?
My passion is driven by my desire to be different. The type of support person that influences changes that people felt were impossible at some point.
How do you believe clients "get better"?
I believe clients get better by identifying their influence and pulling from their own strengths and resources they may not have been aware of previously.
