What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?
I want my clients to know that they are valued as individuals, not just as a set of behaviors or goals.
Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?
In many ways, I see myself as someone who helps make the world a little more understandable and manageable for my clients. Whether by breaking down complex tasks, helping them communicate their needs, or reinforcing their strengths.
What drives your passion for seeing clients?
As an RBT, I gained firsthand knowledge of behavior analysis techniques and witnessed the transformative power of positive behavior interventions. These opportunities provided me with exposure to a range of behaviors, including ADHD, ODD, SIB, neurological conditions, and learning disabilities. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong desire to deepen my expertise in behavior analysis, particularly in applying strategies that promote positive behavioral outcomes for individuals in crisis or those at risk.
How do you believe clients "get better"?
I believe clients "get better" when we teach not just skills, but also why those skills matter in real life. Learning becomes functional and motivating when clients experience success in ways that boost their confidence.
